This section brings together participations in cultural events, public presentations, and educational activities, reflecting the practical and theoretical directions of the artistic endeavour.
The images below document the launch of the volume From Real to Augmented, as an event of public dissemination of the artistic research developed within this endeavour.
The presentation context brought together critical interventions and reflections on the directions proposed in the volume, situating the study within a dialogic framework between artistic practice, theoretical analysis, and public reception.
The photographs capture both the discursive setting of the launch — the contributions of the invited guests and the relationship between author, audience, and work — and the way in which the theoretical material was presented visually in proximity to the artistic works.
In this way, the visual documentation functions not merely as an archive of an event, but as testimony to the moment of public articulation of the research, in which the study was put into circulation and submitted to critical interpretation.

From Real to Augmented is a work dedicated to the transformations of visual art in the digital era — a moment in which the image becomes a space of dialogue between human, technology, and algorithm, transcending the traditional function of mere representation.
The book examines the status of the visual artist in the post-photographic context and the way in which emerging media — digital photography, augmented reality, generative processes, and artificial intelligence — modify creation, the relationship with the audience, and the aesthetic responsibility of the author.
Through an interdisciplinary perspective, the work integrates philosophy of the image, digital aesthetics, and applied artistic research. Topics addressed include:
In the applied section, two visual projects — Between Times and The Uncreated Bridge — illustrate the way in which the real is reinterpreted through digital, symbolic, and conceptual means.
The volume is accompanied by an Introductory Note by literary critic Dr. Ada D. Cruceanu and an Afterword by Prof. Dr. Dorel Găină, contributions that confirm the theoretical and artistic relevance of the endeavour.
From Real to Augmented thus becomes a reflection on contemporary visual sensibility, on the artist's responsibility within an image-dominated ecosystem, and on the way in which the real and the virtual interpenetrate in current culture.
The work was published and launched on 22 February 2026.

Sunday, 22 February 2026 — launch of the volume"From Real to Augmented. The Visual Artist in the Post-Photographic Era"
The event marks the appearance of a work dedicated to the transformation of the contemporary image in the context of new technologies, exploring the transition from traditional photography to generative digital art and to the collaboration between artist and algorithm.
The launch included the presentation of the volume and a generative digital art display, offering the public the opportunity to enter into a dialogue about the status of the image in the era of artificial intelligence.
At the event, the author was in dialogue with his guests:
Dr. Ada D. Cruceanu — literary critic, author of the volume's introductory note, which contextualises the theoretical and artistic endeavour within the contemporary cultural landscape
and
Prof. Dr. Dorel Găină — artist and university professor, whose experience in the field of visual art and photography offers an essential perspective on the evolution of visual language in the context of new media.
The proposed dialogue aimed to open a reflection on the way in which visual reality is reinterpreted today through technology, in a space where the boundary between the real, the augmented, and the generated becomes increasingly fluid.
📅 Date: 22 February 2026, Sunday 📍 Venue: Multifunctional Centre, 2nd floor, Reșița
The public is invited to participate in a gathering dedicated to contemporary art and new forms of visual expression.

🗞️ Opening of the exhibition "The Uncreated Bridge" at the Alexander Tietz Library in Reșița
📅 9 September 2025 — The Alexander Tietz Library in Reșița hosted the opening of the exhibition "The Uncreated Bridge" by visual artist Flavian Savescu. The event brought together art lovers, visual thinkers, and those curious about the dialogue between human and technology, in a space dedicated to reflection and emotion.
🖼️ The exhibition offers an incursion into the subtle tension between two entities: the human hand and the robotic hand. "An exhibition about the gesture suspended between human and technology, about the fragile proximity between two worlds that seek each other without merging. It is a visual exploration of the tension between the warmth of the human hand and the cold precision of the artificial mechanism — a conceptual space in which questions become bridges, and emotion intersects with algorithm. Each work proposes a moment of hesitation, an instant in which the decision has not yet been made, but the possibility of encounter exists."
🔍 The exhibited works combine symbolic elements — everyday objects, suspended gestures, fragments of time — in a composition that invites the viewer to actively participate in the meaning of the images. The exhibition offers no certainties, but opens spaces of dialogue between gaze and thought, between memory and algorithm.
📚 The Alexander Tietz Library thus becomes not merely a cultural space, but a meeting point between worlds — between analogue and digital, between past and future, between human and what it may become.
Artificial intelligence as a central theme (H4):
A defining element of the exhibition is the reflection on artificial intelligence. Flavian Savescu presents it not as a simple tool, but as an abstract presence that observes and learns from human traces. "I chose artificial intelligence as a subject because it is a field that raises questions, controversies, and even fears. We must think about the direction in which the connection between humanity and artificial intelligence is heading," the artist explained to Radio Reșița.
Art critic Ada Cruceanu-Chiseliță highlighted the dual character of the exhibition, always "on a knife's edge" between concept and emotion: "The image can direct the gaze toward hidden particulars, of the human figure or of the composition. It is an attempt with many question marks, between the rational and the artistic experience."

I have the great honour of announcing the publication of the exhibition "DIGITAL BRUSHSTROKES" in issue 6/2025 of the prestigious REFLEX magazine, a publication dedicated to promoting contemporary art and emerging cultural phenomena.
This editorial appearance represents an important validation of the artistic endeavour initiated by the young creators of the region, who have succeeded in bringing to the fore an innovative and deeply current form of visual expression: digital art.
📍 The exhibition "DIGITAL BRUSHSTROKES" marked an absolute premiere in the Banat Mountain region, being the first time that digital art works were presented to the general public in this area. The event, hosted by the Banat Mountain Museum in Reșița, opened a new chapter in the local cultural landscape, highlighting the creative potential of the new generation of artists and the relevance of technology in the contemporary artistic process.
The exhibited works were created within the artistic training programmes run by the Caraș-Severin Centre for Culture and Art, reflecting a diversity of styles, themes, and visual approaches. Each piece was the result of personal exploration, but also of a deep understanding of the digital medium as an instrument of creation.
👩🎨 The exhibiting artists who contributed to this initiative are:
Ovidiu Belceanu, Florentina Andreea Belceanu, Mihnea Călin Vlad, Adela Guțu, Gratian Balan, and teacher Flavian Savescu.
Publication in REFLEX magazine not only amplifies the visibility of this project, but also confirms that the Banat Mountain region is becoming a fertile space for contemporary artistic manifestations, in which tradition and innovation can coexist harmoniously.
Congratulations to all those involved for this remarkable achievement, which demonstrates that digital art has a well-deserved place in current Romanian culture.
